چکیده

The stability of hole bound states in the t-J model including short-range Coulomb interactions is analyzed using computational techniques on ladders with up to 2330 sites. For a nearest-neighbor ~NN! hole-hole repulsion, the two-holes bound state is surprisingly robust and breaks only when the repulsion is several times the exchange J . At ;10% hole doping the pairs break only for a NN repulsion as large as V;4J . Pair-pair correlations remain robust in the regime of hole binding. The results support electronic hole-pairing mechanisms on ladders based on holes moving in spin-liquid backgrounds. Implications in two dimensions are also presented. The need for better estimations of the range and strength of the Coulomb interaction in copper oxides is remarked. @S0163-1829~99!50902-8#

Liquid Density Modeling of Pure Refrigerants Using Four Lattice-Hole Theory Based Equations of State

The present study investigates the performance and relative accuracy of four lattice-hole theory based equations of state in modeling and correlating the liquid density of pure refrigerants. Following the gathering of a database of 5740 experimental liquid density datapoints of 36 pure refrigerants belonging to five different categories including CFCs, HCFCs, PFCs, HFCs and HFEs, ranging from 6...

Mutual interplay between interactions of pi electrons with simultaneous σ-hole interactions: A computational Study

In this study, the role of interaction of pi electrons on the strength of simultaneous σ-hole interactions (pnicogen, chalcogen and halogen bonds) is investigated using the quantum chemical calculations. X-ben||TAZ∙∙∙Y1,Y2,Y3 complexes (X = CN, F, Cl, Br, CH3 , OH and NH2, TAZ= s-triazine and Y1,Y2 and Y3 denotes PH2F, HSF, and ClF molecules) is introduced as a model. The results show that inte...

Quantum melting of the hole crystal in the spin ladder of Sr(14-x)CaxCu24O41.

We have used resonant soft x-ray scattering to study the effects of discommensuration on the hole Wigner crystal (HC) in the spin ladder Sr(14-x)CaxCu24O41 (SCCO). As the hole density is varied the HC forms only with the commensurate wave vectors L(L) = 1/5 and L(L) = 1/3; for incommensurate values it "melts." A simple scaling between L(L) and temperature is observed, tau1/3/tau1/5 = 5/3, indic...

Charge Conjugation and Pairing in a model Cu5O4 Cluster

Highly-symmetric three-band Hubbard Cu-O clusters have peculiar properties when the hole number is such that they admit W=0 hole pairs. These are two-hole eigenstates of the on-site Hubbard repulsion with eigenvalue 0, get bound by correlation effects when dressed by the interaction with the background, and cause superconducting flux quantization. We study the Cu5O4 cluster by exact diagonaliza...

NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF STOPPING HOLES IN THE CRACK GROWTH

The fracture and crack growth of mechanical structures is a usual phenomenon which is due to the application of tensile, cyclic loading or thermal stresses on the structure. So introducing of methods to prevent the crack growth is useful. Afterward, one of the repairing methods of crack growth, consisting to make a hole in the crack tip to elimi-nate the sharp corners, was explained. This metho...
